Here is the view from the cabin window that we will now likely see Saturday morning. Who's ready to drop on the ledge?

Thanks John ;)!!!!

Would you suggest a float ball for those conditions? :)

No, I would certainly anchor...

anchor from the rear, it'll be easier getting back in the boat.

Yeah, you can just swim over the transom at depth.

I would just drift dive that, but be safer and use the taller safety sausage

Taller safety sausage and a dive alert is all one would need in those conditions.

Look's like a stiff seabreeze will be the worst of it. I don't think it will be pleasant for the first 30 miles with it honking out of the west but I think it will be totally doable. I'm lining the Seacraft with beanbags for Saturday and keeping my fingers crossed.

Someone diving in 80' can be very, very, competitive.....as long as they are safe.

The trick is to fill the categories. You get 5 points for every fish.....thats 15 points per category. Shallow divers have a higher chance of filling their categories.

I know, where my problem is gonna be is getting that 50lb catagory filled and the monster hogs the grounds guys will be getting.

I know, where my problem is gonna be is getting that 50lb catagory filled and the monster hogs the grounds guys will be getting.

Few, if any, divers will get a 50lb fish AND fill their categories. Few, if any, people will get 3 hogfish over 10lbs AND fill their categories.

At least two of the divers in the top 10 will dive 100' and less, no more than 30 miles from shore.

Im just in it to have fun...Im not relying too much on my GPS numbers, its looking like they are old Loran #'s and are way off so alot of time will be wasted looking for a profile on the Furuno. Not too mention the last time we went out we was having problems reading the Furuno and marking the spots. :cussing:
