Finally did a nice freedive trip, mostly shallow water. Only ventured deeper than 20ft on a couple spots. Hit some patches in the morning and shot a bunch of hogs up to 5-6 pounds, a 15lb cubera, some average mango's.. No big groupers where we were, just one barely legal red. Also managed a 17lb Yellow jack when we made it out east of cosgrove. Pics to come probably tomorrow when i'm not tired.. Tally for the day

about 20 hogs, 7 mangos, 1 YJ, 1 cubera. Vis where we were was pretty good, in 20 ft it was top to bottom. West of cosgrove at 4pm was barely top to bottom, east of cosgrove was beautiful.. water temps was 82-83.

P.S. FeartheSpear shouldn't have punked out for work. Maybe next time corey.

No worries, we hit one wreck 30 miles out in the gulf and had 20 ft. of vis but not many fish, then we decided to push out to a wreck 55 miles out and it was LOADED with fish but the vis dropped to a brown 5ft at the bottom.. Didn't miss much.

West of cosgrove in 35ft was murky, could barely see the bottom when in the water. Still shootable, but would make it near impossible to stalk anything freediving. It cleared up to the east though. I thought it was weird.. I said when we made it out to east of cosgrove b/c we were inshore all day, stopped a couple miles west to find the dirty water then ran east back in.

Thanks for the report man. I'm heading down to Summerland this weekend, and looking forward to popping some fish. Glad the shallow spots are producing.
