It's amazing how some people in the U.S. claim things are so much better in Canada. If this is one cost of having a socialist-leaning nanny government, then I want absolutely nothing to do with it.

I guess my nature is to be a "glass half-empty" worrier. Maybe that's why I'm a horrible politician and poker player. Raising 3 young children in our current society doesn't help. Spearfishing is my opium. As you suggest, I hope we can get a big dose this weekend. Have a great weekend!

I've heard that if you try to boil a live frog by sticking him in a pot of boiling water, he'll just jump right out. But if you place him in a pot of soothing cool water and just slowly turn up the heat, he'll sit there until it's too late and end up cooked.
