not too pretty at all. vis was 2-5 ft on most spots. dove some broken stuff on the inside. temp was in the low 70's. had some pretty big bugs but not many to speak of. a few small grouper and flounder. that was about it.

Saw you at the dock this morning, We had basically the same day some nice fish, 2 limits of lobster.

Vis for us varied from 4-25 feet with about 35 in the 60 foot stuff.

Well I wish I could say it was different for us up north. I planned on 3- 2 day trips and here I am back at work on day 2 of the season. We started in the 620's offshore and ended up scrapping for fuel money on the pines with everyone else. Oh well back to work and hoping for better vis.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've seen it before.
What does the 620's or 710's mean?

Loran lines, last 3 digits before decimal. Old salts typically talk in terms of loran, and as you know, I among others here aspire to be an old salt one day. :D

damn steve calling me and ron old is no way to get any of ron's numbers now. just kidding, i dont think anyone is getting ron's book without buying the boat along with it. i also beeped you a few times last week so if you saw a strange 2-way number it was mine.

i still can't believe how slow it was yesterday. we pre dove 9 spots last tuesday and 5 of them were loaded. we hit them yesterday and not 1 bug in any of them. they didn't get hit either. no broken antennas, no broken legs, no nothing. plus there were still legal red grouper on them so i'm sure nobody got to them first. oh well, at least today was muuuuuch better. i'll put it in a new report.

Sorry, man, I did see that number. I get a lot of wrong beeps. Call me on my regular cell, I will send a PM. Your description of no whips, no legs, etc, describes EXACTLY some of our all-time honey holes, the ones we keep saved away for a rainy day. There was no whips or antennas...they just weren't there. I don't know what has happened this year.

Got some new stuff to check out, including a wreck, so let's get together sometime.
