We head out of Venice for Friday and Saturday. Good weather and no seas. I had John, Todd, Mike, And Billy with me. Billy had the biggest fish for the two days. It was a AJ at 48#. We had close to limits on both day of AJ's. Billy shot a nice Grouper at 28# and we had some smaller. Thanks to Mark for putting me up for the weekend. Will have Pic as soon as Todd sends them to me.

Anytime Johnny. Lets tell the whole story. 15 Frogmen headed to Venice for the Aqua Aces Rodeo Thursday. 11 people at Sean's camp and 4 at mine. Everbody gathered at Sean's place to cook and hang out till bed time.Friday we headed East with 3 boats, Wesley had Andy, Matt, Don, and Gary.I had Greg, Jason, Russell, and my 12 yr old son Tony. Paw Paw had Mike, Billy, John, and Todd. Friday the the murk was bad on the 1st drop 2nd dpop was much better opened after 20 ft. We ended up with 4 AJs, the biggest 50#. Wesley ended up with a limit of AJs and some other fish. Tony made his first murk dive to 80 ft.He's hooked now. Sat. Wesley and I went South and Johnny went back East. We found the blue water but not many big fish, all I could find at 160 ft. was a 6#14 oz trigger. Next drop was 144 ft and shot a 10# Scamp. Tony dove with Greg while I went deep. Tony and Greg loaded the boat with Triggers at 40 ft. Last drop had plenty current and alot of murk. went to 90 ft. solo and shot 35 # AJ. All in all everybody had a great time. Thanks to Sean and his camp it made it all that much better.

Those rigs are about 25-30 miles out the pass. The water has a 20' murk layer on top but clear under. If the Miss. River would go to its normal level it would be blue on top.
hog wash its dirty all the way to the bottom. no reason to ever dive these rigs.:nono::awink:

Thanks Chris. Shaft that weekend we headed out of the pass and the water did not clear in till about 30 miles out. That is after you run 20 miles in the river. The blue water was out about 20 to 30 miles passed that. Its a long run.
