I am going to start offering Trophy Fish bags (cooler bags). Custom made right here in the US of A.
Does anyone want to offer a suggestion on what the length and girth of the bag ought to be? One size, more than one size?

More than one size for sure. Maybe 2 different sizes, one for long skinny fish like big hoos and dolphin, and even big AJ's, and a fatter one for trophy grouper.

1 gallon ziploc-loc style for hogsniper
In all seriousness though, I'm with Inlet. Maybe even outfit some like surfboard coffin bags that have a built-in axle and wheels.

maybe deeper versus longer like most bags. back pack straps so you could use it to carry your gear bag before loading with fish. def. like the wheel idea. the long ones can be clumsy to carry.

Waterproof zippers woud definitely be a cut above the rest.

I agree in the two bag sizes. Now what size? I think the long Wahoo / king fish bag should be at least 73 inches. That is actual legnth of the current world record wahoo for spearfishing. I think the hight should be between 15 and 18 inches.
For the larger bag ???????
Hey Dave could you make the ends expandable like your gun bags? That would give you the edge over the competition.

If you're going to go ahead and make tournament fish bags, consider the big tuna bags too. Although we can't spear them in the states yet, you may be still able to compete in the regular hook-n-line market.

Maybe, good idea.
Some have suggested wheels and backpack straps but I'm not planning to put a lot of expensive bells and whistles on it. At Armor, I tend towards the hard-core, heavy duty. That means strong fabric, non-corrosive zippers, and a strong lift system. All of those other things are just problems waiting to happen and add a lot of expense.
I plan to use large size non-corrosives zipper, heavy duty 2" webbing, thick closed -cell foam as insulation, 18oz vinyl coated polyester outside and 10oz vinyl coated on the inside. On the larger bag I'll put 3 lift points on each side, and Stainless 2" D-rings for use with a hoist system.
I'll probably offer a custom production for teams and businesses so I can offer custom sizes and custom screen print logos on the bags.

Just look at the ones offered at Boaters World, Boat U.S., and some of the fishing companies. Then make yours heavy duty and hardcore.
