After being out of the water for two years, I finally decided to get my shiznit together and join a few guys from Florida and North Carolina for a trip to the new area. Met up with toecheese, biggsy, biggsy's dad, caloosa and Rich(not sure if he is on here or not) to dive with Capt. Tom Collins on Spearit out of Topsail Beach, NC. Here's a couple of the nicer bugs I picked up between some decent sized hogfish and a hefty red grouper. I think toecheese has some good pics he might post when he gets back.

Great bugs Doug! Armando and I were supposed to be up your way this weekend, but we got blown out AGAIN. :( I guess that we are going to have to wait another month to try again. Glad to see that you are back in the saddle.

I made it down in about 2.5 hours. Might be about 3 for you. We were diving right at about 100' all day. Amazing ledges that reminded me a little of the Middlegrounds off Florida.

Yeah,we were a little worried about Junior when he said he was dry for two years- and his first drop he came up light confirmed the fear. But after that he was a hero- couldn't believe how many fish and bugs he pulled up! I flooded the camera; need to see if the card is okay.
