Any of you who dive north of Jupiter know that visibility is the big wild card. It can make or break your ability to dive and many times the odds are stacked against us. Well JC and I got out yesterday out of Stuart and like my title suggests conditions are as good as they get. Seas flat, sun shinning and visibility varied from 30-60 ft. Not quite top to bottom in the 65ft stuff but enough to make out the structure from the surface. True top to bottom in some of the 50ft stuff and the fish were home. We managed a few nice fish and many misses on spooky kingfish. In the shallows several big schools of sheepshead were seen but were left mostly undisturbed in hopes of saving the big ones for the SPO. We saw some mongoloid permit in the Federal waters and JC brought one of the "teenie" ones home for his family to enjoy.

Kings were spotted at all sites 60ft and deeper although they seemed to be holding anywhere from the top to mid-water. Biggest ones were pushing 30lbs but most were snakes like the ones we are holding in the pics.
PS the inshore stuff out to 30-35fsw was absolute crystal....looked like the Bahamas. If we knew where the craggy rocks were we would have looked for lobster but the call of the deep was too great to spend much time looking for sea cockroaches.

Amazing.
How close did they let you get to them?
I've actually never shot at one or even seen one.
I can't go out without seeing Cero Mackeral every time though.
