I recieved a great update postcard in the mail today from the University of Florida Sea Grant agents and it says that a contractor has been selected and the Captin Jeff Steele Memorial Reef should be completed by August 31, 2008. The deployment will consist of about 500 tons of clean concrete(culverts, manholes, junction boxes, and power poles) You can follow the prgression of the reef building online at http://charlotte.ifas.ufl.edu
Thank you to all who were able to participate in the events held over a year ago. I am so proud to say I was able to contribute to this amazing project. I dont know about the rest of you but I cant wait to dive it......
