View Full Version : SPO prize table stuff.
dagodiver 08-03-2008, 01:03 PM Craftmaster Billiards is putting up a new custom solid wood table.
The tables below are the choices.
Choice of finish color, felt and pockets can be seen at craftmasterpooltables.com
Pocket styles come and go but I always have a lot to chose from.
I am actually shooting in this SPO so I will see you all there.
thanks
Dago.
Mods feel free to chuck this "add" if it is not appropriate. No worries.
Huntinfish 08-03-2008, 01:04 PM very nice!
Spearchucker 08-03-2008, 01:11 PM Sweet pool table Dago - Veeeerrrry veeerrry niiiiceee!!!!!
chuckd 08-03-2008, 02:06 PM SPEARING Magazine is going to give away a free 1-year subscription to the last five place finishers who weigh-in something legal.
So even if you are having a horrible day, shoot a barely legal hog or snapper and you'll win something.
Seriously.

jeepshapes 08-03-2008, 04:12 PM hell of a prize dago. should go first pick.
Sasquatch 08-03-2008, 04:15 PM I'm thinking my placing will be somewhere between the top-5 and bottom-5 :angel3:
I'll be happy just competing- just found a ride on a fast boat. I guess I'll put off my pool table order until after the SPO, Dago (and I need to sell my current one first).
hogsniper 08-03-2008, 04:15 PM Probably one of the nicest prizes we have ever given away, thanks Dago and good luck with the new business venture.
richt 08-03-2008, 09:19 PM Very nice Mike! I agree, it should be top pick!
Bucket One 08-03-2008, 10:12 PM That is just too sweet Mike! Thanks a ton dude.:smnotworthy:
hogsniper 08-04-2008, 12:24 AM We are looking for about 200 neck lanyards to go with our sponsor badges this year. If anyone's company would like to donate them, please let me know asap or we will be using blank ones. I thought I would ask to see if anyone would like to help us out and market their company, but they need to be ready to go in 10 days.
Phermes 08-04-2008, 07:46 AM Sweet!!
I'd want that prize, except I've already got a craftmaster and it is a helluva nice table! I have the same model as that top right picture, only in a darker wood.
threw-er-back 08-04-2008, 09:58 AM WOW!!!
Dago, you sir are the MAN!
Your generosity speaks of your love and commitment to the sport!

hogsniper 08-06-2008, 02:43 PM Alright guys, the big one is only 9 days away! Be sure to get your pre-registration postmarked by this Saturday, August 9. It is only $70 again this year, $40 for juniors. There may still be rooms available by calling the Holiday Inn Sunspree at 727.867.1151 or clicking http://www.spearfishingspuc.org/SPOpenhost.htm
Tournament info can be found here (http://www.spearfishingspuc.org/SPO_2008/SPO_2008_Shooter.html). Our sponsor level has set a new record this year and the pre-registrations are coming on strong. Every shooter will receive a long sleeve "Shooter" designated shirt with his/her entry fee. Zacker will be on hand Friday night to autograph shirts on request, this alone would justify the entry fee.
All pre-registered shooters have shirt size preference. We ordered only enough "Shooter" shirts to cover the average number of entries and are not guaranteed for late entries. We are not able to reorder so register early and bring a friend to register with you. The later you register, the fewer shirts are left to find the right size for you.
We also ordered far fewer retail tournament shirts with the artwork on the back. Our goal is to sell out of shirts during the tournament. Once again, sizes and colors are limited so you might consider ordering via paypal now. You know damn well your big ass won't look good in a skin tight large pink t-shirt when you could have just ordered your shirt early and got a cool color that fits. Unsold shirts will be available starting at Friday night's captain meeting and continue until sold out(hopefully Saturday night).
Friday night captain's meeting is mandatory for at least one paid member of each boat. Don't forget to bring all waivers and entry forms for each team member that have been signed and witnessed, money for those not yet paid. The captain's meeting starts at 6:00pm until 8:30pm. Tournament begins at 9pm.
Weighin line closes Saturday at 7:30pm. Weighin starts at 6pm. Drinking begins when you are done diving. The Florida Freeshafters will be hosting a late night cocktail party on the volleyball court featuring the soon to be confiscated beer funnel, followed by a belly flop competition from one or all of the boats in the marina.
The award ceremony is Sunday at 10am in the banquet room. Refreshments will be served in the back of the room along with bowls of Tylenol.
We have done alot of work this year to make this the biggest party in Spearfishing and we look forward to seeing everyone compete for 2nd place Amberjack again this year. I'm looking for a 2peat.

So is Mike W. going to pass over the 1st Place Belly Flop award since he won last year?? :D:bringiton:
This next week is always the toughest week for me at work as my mind is already out on the water for the Open. This is by far my most favorite spearfishing event of the year, even if I only do 2 drops and shoot 2 fish :D

Fries are better than Bud Light?
hogsniper 08-15-2008, 01:58 AM Friday night's captain meeting is at the Holiday Inn Pavilion starting at 6pm until about 8:30pm. A paid member of your team needs to be in attendance and check in for your shooter bags. If you are not part of a team, I guess we will see you there too.
