I have been reading these posts for a long time and finally decided to join.

I do love spear fishing and all hunting including falconry. Unfortuntally, If I get to spear fish once a month I am doing good. Its quite a drive to the beach. I will hunt the Tennessee river, but its not the same. Not even close!

I do own several spear guns and love to use them. I have a Tortuga trip coming up and will focus on a big hog fish. Since I do my own taxidermy I hope to mount one. That is a very cool fish!

I have a desk job and I set here dreaming:banghead: about spear fishing all the time. I enjoy reading everyones posts. I'm very much an addict and this site helps my withdrawls.

Just wondering if there are any spear fisherman in North Alabama?

Dont feel bad about once a month trips. There are many of us that live an hour or less and dont get out that often :smthumbup:

Where do you shoot on the Tennesse River?

I dive right down the road from my house. Vis is not good. Would like to meet some more spear fisherman up this way to car pool to the Gulf and set up some charters.

I know some people in Haleyville and I have hunted deer and hogs not far from there.

Really look forward to the Tortuga trip and have a friend from the NW going with me. I may fly up there and hunt Ling cod next year with him when their season is in. Short spear fishing season up there.
