Omni 08-25-2008, 08:51 PM How'd it go ? Ummm, its next weekend. Aaron Proffitt 08-26-2008, 05:56 PM Ummm, its next weekend. LDW= Labor Day Weekend=:o Tee hee... Been a long week and shit. Catfish Hunter 09-04-2008, 11:04 PM Re Beaver Lake on LDW, Sean drove up from Dallas and stayed at Eureka Springs Arkansas. I drove down and joined him for some Striper hunting on Saturday. We started hunting at a spot I have been before and saw lots of Black Bass but no Stripers, so we moved to a second spot. I saw a Striper of about 15 pounds and yelled for Sean to come over. By the time he dove, it had moved on. We then hit some other spots which have been good in the past. Finally, when we were just about out of time, we hit a good spot. On my second dive, I mentioned to him that the bottom structure looked really good. The my next dive, I heard a school of Stripers and they came by just as I was at the end of my breathhold. These were not large Stripers, but the day was almost over, so I picked out one and shot. The shaft hit right where I aimed and the Striper did a head stand. However, while asccending, it pulled me down slightly. I was thinking, how was this possible as I was sure I had stoned it. When I pulled up my line - - there were two Stripers on my shaft!! The first fish was stone dead. My shaft went through the gill plate and out the left eye and then stuck a second Striper in the belly. Two fish with one shot!! We limited out then and there.
