That can't be possible. Was it an O2-assisted attempt?

he was suckin on pure o2 for 20 minutes prior to his attempt, so this record is not the traditional type. he still has the world record for a traditional static at 9 min 8 secs I believe, although Stephane Mifsud has a record at over 10 minutes that is only recognized in France

That explains it. Still, it's an impressive feat, even with O2 assistance.

Coool. He could be swimmin the flats in like 2 ft of water for like 10 min. at a time. Boats would think he was giant cobia or a manatee.

I caught the tail end of it on Regis this morning - while trying to avoid doing paperwork, lol - they had him sitting in a chair in a lucite dunk tank - he had on full wetsuit, weights, and a low profile mask, which fogged up quite a bit during the immersion. Didn't see if he was doing O2 or not, but he just sat there, occasionally moving his hands to show still conscious.......at 8 to 10 minutes, it appeared effortless. Commercial break from 10 to 14 minutes, then he finished. Was able to talk and didn't appear winded much right after surfacing........

Ever see that guy who could swallow... what was it - small light bulbs or ping-pong balls, each sequentially numbered, then regurgitate exactly whatever number of (ball or bulb) an audience member wanted? Even if it was way out of order?

Yeah, this dive guy is like that guy: we have aliens from outer space amongst us, yet all they wish to show us is tricks.

They ought to put these 'people' behind bars...
