He spears in 40 to 50 meters but he uses weight to bring himself down.

The two fish at the same time was impressive.
So he uses a weight to go down attached to that line then he lets it go and goes for the hunt. Is that legal in competition? If so that's a great way to get down farther than I'm getting down to now.

Myself and about 4 others here do the hands free equalization I still can't make it to 40 meters. Even if I could, I don't need to in order to find fish. That man has balls. It must be nice to ride weight all the way to the bottom though, I could make 40 meters that way for sure. If that's how he does it in competition I don't think that's the most impressive display of ability. Gerald one of my fellow extreme freedivers as well as Speedy and John do 30 + meters swimming ! That to me is impressive.

My dive bud in Hawaii will make every effort to touch bottom even in hundreds of feet of water. I think he last dive was 167ft. Im sure you can make it to w/e depth you want. Its all technique.
I cant wait to get my pics of the atlantis sub. We dove 30m and waited on it to come by the wreck and then took pics with it and made our way to the surface after a total dive time of 2:30. But who cares about that, you have to see these pics man its insane. Here is an old one of my dive bud waiving to the tourists.
