got my wife the canon hv 20 it is a hd mini/dv camcorder. anyway being new to it i know there are mini/dv tapes and hd mini/dv tapes. is the camera only hd when using the hd tape and is the quality worse than a non hd cam if i use non hd tape in a hd cam. hope that makes sense.
