Did a half day again in the same area as last week. Water was a lot warmer though, and in 100ft there was 80+ vis. Shallower it got kinda dirty.

Started in 90' to look for a black we didn't manage to shoot last week, but were unable to locate him. Oskar shot some nice big yellow jacks before we moved on. In 50' the vis was pretty bad, so we picked up some hogs and muttons before heading out to 70'. There was a strong outgoing current, and before we knew it we were doing drops to 90' again. We worked hard and shot quite a few fish, yet few that were picture worthy. No Grouper this trip either. I did manage a large grover that was extremely skinny for its length, but looked healthy otherwise. To illustrate its length, I stuffed one of Oscar's 12" grovers in its mouth in one of the pics. Thanks guys, for another great morning on the water.

Here are a few pics. Enjoy & dive safe.

Way to be extreme !
Could you see the fish from the surface? Or were you finding them on the descent? I think I could do 90 but I couldn't hunt down there I'd have to literally drop right on the fish and shoot.

lol...welcome to my world, me and you are on the same boat. I was amazed with the other Oscar...he would drop deep time and time again, not only would he drop deep but he'd lay there patiently waiting...I'd drop and surface, I'm not quite there yet...

Good to know those mangroves are still around.

The big ones definitely aren't around in numbers though. Had to work hard to get that baby in the boat. Plenty of 12-16 inchers though.

Dive safe,
