View Full Version : Anyone have a recipe for Horseshoe Crab? We have tons of horseshoe crab around but never seen it eaten... sremsen 09-08-2008, 11:02 PM I'll give you $5 if you eat one. Narc'd 09-08-2008, 11:07 PM $5 to eat crab? the smoked sago grubs I used to eat in the village I grew up in over in the south pacific looked a lot worse than a horseshoe crab but tasted pretty good. never knock it till you've tried it. The dish looked very good. There is not anything I have seen from the sea that properly prepared is not good to eat. sremsen 09-09-2008, 07:57 AM Unless the horseshoe crabs are different down there than the ones here up north. Not whole lot of meat on them, for years they were used as bait in traps or as fertilizer. There are so many other things I would eat than those, Narc'd 09-09-2008, 10:33 AM That is exactly what they were cooking, everyone remarked at what a great dish it was with unique flavor. I was hoping someone on the board may have a recipe. Something different to try... threw-er-back 09-09-2008, 11:08 AM Scares me and I'm fearless...although I will scream like a girl every now and then in a scarey movie.. sremsen 09-09-2008, 11:24 AM That is exactly what they were cooking, everyone remarked at what a great dish it was with unique flavor.
