CPB - the current and vis improved significantly - but north of the inlet wasn't nearly as good as south......

Nice hogs! Pink dress open should be at the end of Nov or the first week of Dec. This year we are having a special catagory- remora's must be attached to bull sharks, just to make it a little more sporting:awink:

Thanks guys - I had a great time yesterday catching/spearing - then cooking three tails and the smaller hog for dinner with my dad (my mother HATES any type of fish, so getting it outside a restaurant is a treat for him).

I'll pencil in the pink dress date on my calendar - hmmm - weekend after Thanksgiving or Dec 7th it looks to me - will the pink dress committee be convening to discuss date/time of event :D ?

Pargo - I'm a clutz as it is, so need all exposure protection (i.e. wetsuit) to keep my skin scratch-free.....I'm learning to use a snare better and better, but some of those bugs just don't cooperate - leading to a physical battle (which I usually win - lol)......without a wetsuit, I'd probably be looking as bad as the lobster afterwards - lol :D Thank you for the nice compliment though - maybe I'll try that freediving though - water columns are much easier than sand/rocks on the skin - lol :D

I have the same problem with the snare, tickle stick, net... I just can't get used to it. I am practiced at either snatching them with a hook at the end of a stick or shooting them but you can't do that here.

It's so strange to read Nikki's own words about putting the date of the PDO on her calendar and planning for the tourney, which is tomorrow, and knowing that she'll only be there in spirit.

It was sad reading this post...she is missed. It's a reminder of the cold hard reality that we just never really know when a day may be our last. That's what made Nikki a very special lady...she loved people & life as if it was...
