Okay! Had a GREAT TIME guys! It was one of my best trip! Thanks for Jamie to put this together! I shot my fish on the first night. 33-35 pounder Permit. The rest of the trip I used my camera instead of my gun. I got some cool videos, and will put it together in the next week, maybe this weekend. The apartment and the marina was great thanks for Becky (Speargirl). Steve the net you gave me on the meeting did not work out to catch some tropicals for my reef tank. I just don't know how people do that! I even tried that siphon looks like a penis enlarger, and guess what that is a POS! But I got some hermit crabs and other stuff. Today Jamie called me and he got me 3 little octopuses. They looks so cool in my tank. Here is some pix from the trip.

Yes, as Lynn said, I make it look easy. She has learned how to catch fish with those since my training her. I caught 4-5 fish on 2 breaths at Delta shoals last time we were down, after a guy that went with us tried for 1/2 an hour to catch one, but couldnt. I knew he wouldnt catch anything. It is an art. You dont chase the fish, you hold the net still and calmly move the fish into the net. You have to know how that kind of fish will react. They are all different. I am very selective on what fish I take. I used to do it commercially. Slurp guns dont work except for very certain fish in certain conditions. I have 2 different ones, and havent used them for 25 years or more, since the fish that it catches arent really good aquarium fish. I guess I have used it once about 3 years ago. Nets are the only way to do it quickly and safely 95% of the time. I forgot to tell you the decompression times and stuff for different sized fish. Bigger fish need a lot longer deco times. We have a Grey Angel about 2 1/2" long that we have had for a year, since he was as big as a quarter that you can have. Pitch black with bright yellow bars and blue pectoral fish and anal fins. He is a great eater, gets along with others and real tame. We have too many fish. Is your tank set up?

Start to finish an outstanding trip. My first trip to the Keys as a new Floridian, and it will not be long before my next one!!

Great to be diving with my guys Captain Jamie and Andreas again. Jamie put together a wonderful trip, great dive itinerary, and as always he tolerated my need to dive as soon as we got there and as often as we could after that:D Andreas was a willing accomplice with an "I'm game" response at every turn.

Delighted to get to know and dive with Russell. He had some great stories of past exploits. He is a Jimmy Buffett album waiting to happen.

Becky was truly the hostess with the mostest!! She went above and beyond for us, and I was delighted she could join us for my birthday dinner. Lobster bites and grouper sandwiches, fresher than fresh. Quite the meal if I say so myself:smthumbup:

When Andreas walked into the kitchen with his "fish catcher"??? AKA penis pump, I was a tad concerned about the direction the trip was taking, but he proceeded to go jump in the canal an try to inflate some guppies. To each his own, I guess:lol:

It was great to meet and get to see Keezdiver in action. Jeff nailed some monsters. Can't wait to make it down to his "stomping ground" some time soon.

The wrecks were breathtaking. It was almost surreal being the only boat out there on the Duane and the Bibb on our first day there. Our own personal wrecks:smthumbup::smthumbup:

After a couple of wonderful dives on the Speigel Grove, it was Lobster fest time:yay::yay: The pictures above tell the tale!

Another home run for Aristakat and Captain Jamie!!:toast: Also a big thank you to Becky (www.speargirl.com).
