Thanks loose_cannon 10-01-2008, 08:02 PM Most marine surplus stores carry it. I bought 70' of it at the Marine Connection Liquidators in Ft Pierce, they had piles of the stuff. stevemc1 10-03-2008, 09:28 AM In Bradenton there is Marine Surplus on US 301. They have many types. What kind were you looking for?, as I was looking through it a few weeks ago, and may remember seeing some. dagodiver 10-03-2008, 10:39 AM TACO marine. I am a dealer if you need help. Dago. stevemc1 10-03-2008, 12:18 PM Its not hard to install. Your top cap is screwed on to the hull, and the rub rail will cover this joint. This joint should be caulked or your boat will take on water in rough water. You have to lay it out, hopefully with it in one piece if rubber, or as big each as possible if stainless. You want to make it fairly symetrical, with the front at the bow the middle of a piece. You want to end at the middle of the transom. They make ending finials or cover pieces for each kind. When you lay it on, you will tape it on, and make sure it is even, straight and in the right area. If a hole is blocked by a screw that was there, you can either mark it, lower the rubrail and remove it, or drill through it. You must predrill all holes once it is taped up and start drilling and srewing from the front, working to the back, one at a time, you cannot jump around, as it might not be tight. The rubber kind with the rope or rubber tubing, you just screw down, and then put the rope in and end at the rear, and cover the ends. |
