Looking to get one for the garage soon, we're way over due to have one of these with all the fish I kill :liar: I'm not looking for some huge 17 cubic foot freezer, probably something in the 6 to 10 cubic foot range. Do any of you have any suggestions on which brand to steer clear of or which is the most worthy? Thanks in advance. :toast:

Get an upright. Chest freezers suck in that you get stuff buried in there and you don't know what.

I am interested as well. I am planning on getting a Sears Kenmore in the 8-10cf range and would like to hear some opinions.

Get a cheap one from sams club. Even the crappy ones last 20 years.

I bought one as a necessity after an awesome tuna trip....picked it up from Home Depot for $200. I think it's a 5 or 7 cubic foot and it freezes well.

I agree! An upright is far easier to defrost and clean as well.
