Default New Kapiti Island Video, lots of u/w footage

I just finished editing some old footage from Kapiti. There's no bloodshed except for some pictures at the end, but it does have some nice close-up shots of several "reef" species. It's amazing how comfortable fish are when you've just got a camera and don't have killing on the brain.

Kapiti Island Underwater

In other news, I took off a few hours early and went to one of the local rivers for some fly fishing. Two hours later, I landed my first two NZ rainbows, took one home for dinner. Man, it was good!

Yeah, Kapiti usually has good vis 30-40 foot, sometimes less, but generally good. Hawke's Bay vis is usually 30-40cm.

Basically, I live in the black hole of water visability in New Zealand. Driving is the name of the game for me. Luckily, there are plenty of places to go within 3 hours, and lots more in the 4-5 hour range.
