Default 2000 2650 prokat with twin honda 130's

Im picking up a 2000 2650 prokat with twin honda 130's tomorrow for 13,000 without a trailer. The engines had new powerheads in 2004. Does this sound like a good deal? Has anyone had any experience with these boats?

I know a little about prokat's and Honda's... Its diffently a buyers market, prokat didn't do to well with wiring plan for that, I redid enitre wiring on my boat... sounds like a good price really depends on how well it was taken care of... They are planning hulls so that a good thing..

I have an '07 2560 Fish and Fun model. Like Jamie said, I had some major rewiring done, it was very confusing before.

Prokat is out of business, so no warranty to speak of. Components they used are pretty cheap, they require a lot of maintenance. But if your handy it's not bad.

Runs well for that size cat, still bangs a bit into a head sea. Mine rides best with a lot of tabs to keep the bow down.

I'm thinking about trying some 4 blade props for those heavy middle grounds days. Jaimie, are you running 3 or 4 blades?

Im suppose to pick it up today, except i think ive talked my self out of it. Having two engines that are 11 years old will make me too nervous. Id feel like id have ticking time bombs on the back. My current boat has a 2010 etec with 4 years of warranty left, so im thinking the next boat i get I may need to spend more to get that piece of mind.

You can always repower it. Tell the guy to keep the motors and make him an offer on the hull.

And besides the warranty issue, I'd feel safer offshore with 2 old Honda motors than 1 new Etec!
