Congratulations Erik! It looked like one awesome tournament Erik. I keep hearing and seeing compliments on how well the tournament was organized and run. You're passion and dedication to sport really showed through in this event. BTW, how was the awards banquet? I still haven't seen any pics or heard any feedback about it yet. Sorry I couldn't make it. I had my mom's birthday dinner moved to that Friday night. It turns out that I had to cancel it anyways because I ended up having surgeries to cover that went into the evening.

I hear the water temps took a nosedive for the event, low to mid 50s. That must have made things tough.

Thank you very much for your compliment and your words of appreciation.

The awards banquet was a lot of fun, we had the original Fathomier book for everyone to see, the Owens Trophy was so impresive, you really have to see it in person to admire the magnitude and size of the Perpetual Owens Trophy!

Another Highlight was the Perpetual John Ernst Trophy, beautiful work of art and the Dennis the winner got to take a replica home!!

The food was fantastic, with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island on the horizon. The divers had a blast, hanging out and having a few coctails?

The Raffle prizes were awesome, Spearguns, fish bags, wetsuits, T-shirts, masks, snorkell, Kimi's Picture, tons of raffle items.

Everyone had a blast and a good time. We missed you Howard!

Water Temp took a nose dive from the high 60s a week ago before the tournament to temps averaging 56 on the top and up to 54 on the bottom.

Fish were hidding on their holes, that is why Cencal did so good, they are hole hunters, that is what they do best up northern California.

Thanks for the reprt Erik. I really wished I could've made the awards banquet. It was bad enough having to reschedule my mom's birthday dinner at the last minute. It was worse being stuck at work for one last surgery that ran into the evening.
