So i am new to spear fishing and just bought a Seac Sting 75 Spear Gun (cheap but i figured it will be a good starter). I have searched high and low online to find out how to rig the gun but have failed . I am hoping some of you vets can tell me how to do it correctly (FYI i do not have a reel).

Also i live in orange county and have only been snorkeling in Laguna Beach (fishermans cove). where are good spots to go and about how far out should i go offshore. Thanks in advance for your help as i look forward to going out next weekend. Thanks

Can you post a pix of the gun? I'm not sure what you are asking for, mono rigging, break away rigging etc.
