Default NJ slaughterfest from saturday

Went out with my buddies randy, fletch and john on johns boat and dove some hard structure and wrecks in tight to the beach, max depth we worked was 35 feet on some ledges and holes and rockpiles. Beat the shit out of the triggerfish, I shot 2 nice fluke and we even found some black seabass. Tried for stripers with no luck, had big (10-over 15 lb) tog following us all over our dive spots, it was tough to weed through them and not shoot any, some real monsters around. Waiting on opening day.

Dont even have to run there, we found em less then a 1/4 mile off the beach in 20 foot of water. Get in touch with me if you want to dive up here with us.

I didnt do as much damage as the other guys, my dive buddy fletch always manages to find a massive school of triggers and kill half of them before I can get a shot in.

The viz varied, we had spots where we crashed into the bottom (actually grabbed a big flounder pullin myself along the bottom the viz was so bad ) and other spots where it was 10 to 15 feet., averaged 6-8 feet of viz, enough to shoot fish.. I live near philly but go north, outta Manasquan Inlet on my buddy's boat.

Nice fluke. I will have to keep that in mind. I say the rocks cause my relatives live in Woodbridge so I have the connection to get out there. Drop in at Leonardo or the highlands, go around the hook and there in no time.
