Default Portable tank holder prototype!

Been dealing with transporting our tanks on the CC without adding more roll controll. Worked with a friend to come up with a non absorbing foam that had the strength to hold tanks. Coverd it in sunbrella fabric . The bottom has rubber pads like in the bottom of gear bags . They have one at ScubaQuest in Brandon if you want to check it out . The layout is 6 large tanks and 2 pony or 4 large tanks and 2 pony. We are going to sea trial them this weekend .

Get with Brandon at ScubaQuest if you want to sea trial one for me !!!

Thanks

Took the 4 tank/2 pony and the 6 tank/2 pony holders out saturday. Seas were 2-4' for the ride out and settled to 2-3' all day. We set the holders in front of the helm in the 28CC and they never moved all day!!!!! Tanks were easily exchanged all day so the initial test could not have been any better.

The 6 tank will be $229 and the 8 tank will be $249. The 6 tank can be for 4 large tanks and 2 pony or just 6 large tanks. The 8 tank can be 6 large tanks and 2 pony or just 8 large tanks. Send me a PM of how to get in touch with you and I will sell you 1 of the prototype for less if you want 1 of those!

Thanks Sanders

What about the boots on the bottoms of the tanks? I was thinking about doing something like this cause im tired of laying tans down in the back of my truck and taking up alot of room, I need to figure out a way to store them verticlly on my ride.

All our tanks have boots and most have the octagon pattern and they slide in and out without coming off. That was the best thing about the rough seas as we got to see how they perform in those conditions. Tehy are in the back of Brodies truck now and he will be dropping them off at Scuba quest in Brandon tonight.

That looks like a great system.

Is the foam a soft foam or a structural type foam?

How much does the block weigh?

Any prolems w/ the octagon caps tearing up the foam?

What are the dimensions of the larger holder?

Are custom sizes available?

Wanted something that would give some support to the foam and that looks better than a piece of foam. If you want just a block of foam I can do that also!

UV rays do break down alot of foams, not sure what exact foam steve's using but it wasn't a bad idea to cover it.

Whatever color sunbrella has should not be a problem. I just need to know what size tanks you want it set up for, how many tanks and color. Just got a new sample of a black fabric that has a rubber texture we may try if someone wants black as the black sunbrella seems to show the salt stains .
