    Default Lobster survey

Just recieved an email inviting me to do a survey. Anyone else get this?

    1. Recreational Lobster Survey

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is conducting a survey of recreational lobster license holders and we invite your participation. You are one of a small number of people being asked for information and opinions about recreational lobster fishing.

As you may be aware, Florida's spiny lobster fishery is one of the most economically important in the State. Consequently, recreational lobster fishing has been a matter of interest to the State and its citizens and is the focus of proposed fishery regulations designed to ensure the continuing vitality of this popular sport. During the past decade, we have conducted surveys of recreational lobster fishers like you to better understand the lobster fishery. The information and comments that recipients of our survey have provided have been invaluable in helping us to understand and effectively manage the lobster fishery.

We ask that you take several minutes and complete the questionnaire. In order for the results of this survey to accurately reflect the recreational lobster fishery, it is important that all survey recipients participate, even if yopu did not fish.

Please note that this survey is completely confidential.

You always wonder what they expect to get from a poll- like Denny wrote in spearing magazine- if everyone gets their limit, we're over fishing. If everyone doesn't it is overfished.
