The Florida Skin Divers Association's Fall Freedive Classic is just around the corner. This years competition has an all new format that will be fun for both new and experienced shooters. It is a great time of the year to hunt the Gulf of Mexico. The Pelagics are moving through, the Grouper are coming in shore and the water is starting to cool off and get clear.

When: October 10th, 2009
Where: Tarpon Springs (Anclote Park)
Time: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Grouper (Red, Black, Gag, Scamp)
Snapper (Mangrove, Cubera)
Hogfish
Cobia
Jack (Amber, Almaco)
Permit
Spanish Mackerel
Kingfish
Sheephead
Bonito

Scoring:
5 points per fish
1 point per pound (No Maximum)
1 fish per category

Cost:
$25.00 per diver plus FSDA Membership required.

1st Place Woman
1st Place Junior
Big Fish Overall
Big Fish Calcutta??

Registration will be available at the boat ramp from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM and the weigh in starts at 3:15 PM. Food and drinks will be available at the weigh in.

Bill, sorry, not so. The SPO is not an FSDA event. However, if you have shot in the TBSC Invitational, Southern Open, State Freedive Spearfishing Championship, or any of the WCC events then you have paid your annual FSDA dues.

J - you can pay the FSDA dues at the registration, they're $15 so if you're not an FSDA member then the cost is $40. Check your PMs also.

It is a little misleading on FSDA website. The SPO and a link to SPUC's website is listed on the FSDA's website list of tournments (with the others you mentioned).
