If the ground hog comes out on Thursday afternoon we have a tournament. If he stays in we don't. I will make the call Thursday PM. Should be sporty!

Yea, I thought i would slip out today to 30ft. and check on my cobia farm.... Ouch. viz was 10 ft. wind kicked up at 9:00 and made it an interesting ride in on the boat....the good thing is the "cobia tornado" is there. I free dove down and hand fed them some sardines.... fatten 'em upm for Saturday.

With 2 teammates coming from the East Coast its looking like we are out for this Friday. They cant really justify making arrangements to come over and dive Friday with such an ugly forecast. Im down for the following weekend.....

"2011 FSDA FALL FREEDIVE SPEARFISHING CLASSIC

(Saturday, October 8, 2011, Tarpon Springs Florida)

The Florida Skin Divers Association invites all Freedive Spearfisherman, Woman, and Juniors to participate in the competition and camaraderie of the “2011 FSDA Fall Freedive Spearfishing Classic.” This one-day tournament will be held in Tarpon Springs Florida on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Recognition will be given on individual levels based upon an aggregate point scoring system. Additional recognition will be given to the individual turning in the single largest fish of the tournament."

So is everyone going to be diving around the same channel marker trying to shoot some poor sheepshead, or is the tournament moving to the rain date?

Looks like we are moving the tournament to October 22nd. The ground hog never came out today. Hope everyone can adjust their schedules.
