Question Official Registration and Rules 2011 FF OPEN

Today is the official kickoff for our tournament.
Here are the rules for the tournament, along with a printable registration form. We have big plans for this tournament to even surpass the old Spearboard Open. The Venue is sure to delight everyone, with a big tent, drive up cooler drop, free beer for participants, plenty of easy parking and AC close by. Look forward to a great tournament.

2011 Florida Freeshafters Open - Register NOW!

I'm watching sponsors stack up like crazy. These guys are working their butts off to make sure this event goes well. Lots of stuff coming to the prize tables.

Here are some .jpgs, In case you would like to take a quick glance or have trouble downloading the PDF version.

So I've been working with Pat to design some custom trophies for this event and I wanted to share my design for the 1st place winner. It is basically a piece of .090 aluminum background and a piece of 1/2" to 3/4" clear acrylic attached with 4 stainless standoff bolts.

The aluminum piece is the wide piece and the front acrylic is the one that narrows on the middle. The aluminum will have swirl marks from the grinder and two spearguns deeply engraved on the sides and color filled. The front clear acrylic piece will most likely be reverse color printed on the back side or engraved. I should have a couple of samples done this week before we make the final decision. The other trophies are all big chipped edge ovals and they are gonna look great.

This 1st place design will be exclusive to this event, FYI these guys really stepped up to the plate when it came time to buy trophies. So come support this event and take this one of a kind trophy home.

The sponsors are stacking up quick. Registration was super easy. Make sure you pay attention, there is a spot towards the bottom that allows you to buy an extra armband(if you bring a friend) for the "reasonably" unlimited beer from 11am-3pm. Shooters already get an armband for the beer. You can also pre-pay for the tournament special lunch for only $5 a plate. If you don't want that, Sean has opened up the menu to everyone, so you can also order off the menu if you want to.

O'Brien's Pub in Brandon has really stepped up to the plate. Sean, the owner of O'Brien's, has said yes to just about everything we have needed. On behalf of the Florida Freeshafters, I'd like to extend a very large THANK YOU to O'Brien's Pub & Grill in Brandon.

Get your registrations in early. While you are at it, you can get your FRA and FSDA memberships too.
