went out yesterday, sunday 5/3 vis was 12 to 20 foot, 72+ degrees and yes tons of stinging jellies. current picked up in the afternoon pretty good which put the jellies on the bottom. about one every cubic foot of water. personally i want to give it a couple weeks and hope they clear out it was near impossible to hunt with them on the bottom like that. we ran north east 25 miles after hearing st aug was blacked out

We had very similar results on Saturday, minus the 20ft vis. Our best dive may have been 15. Ditto on the jellies. We stayed inside of 20 miles.

Dignan and I made it out for a quick afternoon freedive, Jellies weren't a problem at all at JW. I've always heard that a little panty hose over the face will do wonders for keeping them off though (and robbing banks). or if you are uncomfortable wearing ladies undergraments on your face you could pay $30 for the new Omer Jellyfish hood. not sure how well it would work with a reg in your mouth without a little modification though.

I find that once your face is completely numb from the first dive, the rest of day gos by pretty easy.
