Went out for some scouting,60 to 80ft, water was a bit on the freezing my dudes off cold. but the vis was good 15 ft in 60 and aroung 35 in 80... The sharks and ray didnt like it either because we came across a school of about 35 sharks on the surface. And what likes swimming with sharks???? COBIA lol .

we dove Vero 40 out from the pier on Saturday. Thermo then it cleared up to around 20' viz. Not many fish and didn't see a single bug, but we didn't hit many spots since the fish seemed scarce. Even the sheepshead were hiding under ledges. Good luck tomorrow!

Wow what a difference a couple of days makes. Water was cold and dirty inside 60 ft. 10 ft out in 80 , ended the day with 8 nice lobster 2 gags. And 1 blown powerhead on the starboard engine . So Im looking for a ride for a while till I can get a new power head.... Did not see a lot of boats out this year. Economy?

Fewest number of boats I've seen out of Sebastian, in the last 20 years. Dive shop even closed on time, hasn't happened in last 25 years.

I hope you realize that by saying that, you've openly admitted to the fact that you've clearly taken more grouper and snapper this year than in the last 20 years so more stringent regulations are obviously needed!!!!

My post wasn't about what was taken anywhere it was about the lack of people on the water. Alot of people dont bother anymore cause all the BS they have to deal with restrictions to everything.

I know a guy personally that was searched offshore 3 times by FWC on Wed and said F it and didn't go Thrs.

Last year was very dismissal out of Seb. during mini. Well...... from reports I received anyway.
Although, we did well this year both opening days. Vis really did change again from a few days prior. Such a fickle area........

Stopped offshore for the first time as well. Even had a heli circle and wanted us to open cooler. Odd.....normally the choke point is inside the inlet.

Just wasn't expecting FWC to drive over our heads while surfacing. A lot of juveniles compared to prior years. Only has a few egg bearing.
