Default Want to Dive the East Coast

Looking for some info and help from the East Coasters.
We normally do all our diving from Ft. Desoto up to the Hudson area on the West Coast. We would like to come over to the East Coast and do a little diving but aren't interested in any cattle boat diving.
Don't know the first thing about which inlets are the best but I'm hearing that Ft. Pierce is pretty nice. Don't really know what to look for as far as the weather patterns are concerned over there so some info on that would be a great help.
We have some numbers and are willing to drag our boats over if need be or share expenses if any wants some extra divers. Would welcome you over here for some diving also!
PM me if you would like.

Hey Russ! We are supposed to be going over to Sebastion this Saturday looking for some bugs. From what I have been hearing it seems like it's been cold (around 70). It's been that way the other two times I dove it also. I'd like to learn a little more about what to look for on the east also.

Temp has been holding at 65-66 in 75-85' the last few days. Going to do some night diving in 45-50' tonight. I will let you know on here what it looks like. Best advice is having a quality bottom machine, if you can mark it lobster will hide under it.

Hey Mike! Good luck this saturday. Make sure you take your suit, everything I've been hearing is that those thermo's have been freezing Let me know how you made out and give me a call when you want to get together and do some diving or maybe some scalloping. We're planning a trip to the keys in a month or so if you're interested

Nice conditions out there. Low 70's on the bottom and 20-30' viz in 50' of water, slight N current. Plenty of lobster and 24-28" gags running around to. the beach has been very clear as well.

That's awesome news! I was starting to get worried. I hadn't heard any reports about bugs. I wonder if anyone has been seeing them on the beach.

Russ, that all sounds good to me. It just depends on schedule. I have only been able to get out twice this entire year. I took the gf out last year scalloping and she had a blast. Not so much the shucking part though. lol
