Chris-gumshoe called and had a free few hours at work, and asked if I would like to go diving, which I said yes. We got out at 1030 ish after he took care of office work. Weather was OK, not flat dead calm, but not rollers or anything over 2'. Wind chop on way home. Vis was bad. We went out first about 8 miles on some ledges, and vis was maybe 10'. Fish finder said 72 on top, and you could feel it was warmer on top when you came back up. We both wore 1 piece 3mm, and we both were a little cold by the end of the short day. Chris got a real nice flounder, I got a 3 lb hog and 3 lb mango, and a 30+ lb cuda for the skull, but ended up getting a crowd at the cleaning table and ended up filleting it and giving it to a couple old black men. I lost a spear on a cuda, as vis was not good for freeshafting, and I really couldnt see where I was hitting.

"a little cold by the end" doesn't do justice to just how insufficient my 3mm was.

At least I could blame the cold on the shrinkage.
