Default 6-13 Port Richey

Grouper grabber, Miss Laura and I headed out to 65 ft and got beat up preaty good. Vis about 18ft. found cobia, mangoes up to 21" (that was me) 1 AJ , and spanish macs. Lots of bait around. Hit 1 ledge on the way in (45 ft, probably 12ft Vis) and picked a few hogs. Not the greatest conditions but had a blast.

Scott, I had a great day today! Thanks for the trip. We are cooking some Mango's and Macks right now for dinner and going to have Hogs tomorrow.

By the way that was an awesome Mango!

Well done guys.

Did you shoot the spanish macks, or hook and line them? I would guess they'd be tough to spear.

I've smoked'em, you can also fry them I have some buddies that love them and they steak it out with salt pepper garlicpowder.so that keeps them busy while I eat HOG,Grouper and snapper. If I want smoked fish, cobe, king or A.J. works better in the back of my head as far as eating. It would be alot better if when I ate cuda I did not know that I was eating it would be that much better.besides they are all fun fish some with more gnarly teeth than others!

Default Grilled Cuda

I only eat the small Cudas (under 24"). Bigger ones are usually full of parasites and/or ciguatera. Neither is appetizing.

Marinate fillets in olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper and garlic. Grill 3 - 5 minutes each side and enjoy with pigeon peas and rice, johnny cakes or Bahamian mac & cheese. Ice cold Kalik washes it down nicely.
