Default 7/2-fort desoto-little carbo

Went out on Saturday for a quick trip. only ran out to 60ft. I was on a little ledge and went in for a look chasing a nice mango and pull this little 24" black out with the mango on the same shaft. nice suprise to see him in 60ft.

Interesting...I saw one a couple weeks ago all decked out in the "keys" checkerboard coloration and Marcus told me it was not possible!

Glad to see proof that it wasn't a mirage!

My mistake, you are correct. Wish we would see more of them up our way!

I usually gather up a couple every year. The weird thing is it's always the last two weeks of June or the first two weeks of July, and they are always between 60 and 70 feet of water, and the fish are usually between 24 and 27 inches long.

How do they know?

Nice fish btw, and tasty too.
