This is what I've been up to
Well the vis has been complete shit this week but at least the seas were calm! I got the chance to go offshore with Matt and the boys late last week and do a little overnight fishing and freediving in the morning. We crushed the fish and everyone was exhausted by morning but not me! I jumped in at first light, made one drop and shot by personal best yellowtail! We made one last stop before heading in and ran into a mess of chicken mahi so I jumped in and popped 4 with the polespear and we called it a day.
Yesterday, John, Drew, my dad, and myself buzzed out to see if the vis had returned. Unfortunately it was still terrible on the bottom but we worked extra hard and hit multiple spots and finally pulled a limit of solid gags! We did however get chased off the Rube Allyn by a 7-8ft Tiger shark. Pretty crazy especially with limited visibility! 60ft had the best vis at about 15ft and it was nice and blue on top so that was a little more fun than the 5-10ft vis we had most of the morning.

Those pics are badass Nolan! I had a great time and my freezer is loaded with snapper and grouper now. We need to get a couple more trips in before you head off to school...

Nicely done. You know I have never speared a yellowtail snapper. They are always hauling ass and moving super erratic. That must have been a nice hunt

nice work Nolan and crew. Thats a serious flag yellowtail. I love shooting those things, they're a great test of accuracy and stalking ability.
