Default Jew fish ate the whole thing

Friday JULY 18 The island hopper was out for a day of diving. 8 people were on board, some divers, some lookers. Seas were calm and one of the lookers was catching crabs that were around the boat. He dipped a turtle, He thought the turtle was dead. Do the baby turtles hibernate? This turtle was about two inches long. I ask to see it when I held it up to see it The thing came alive. We took some pictures and let him go. About that time a diver came back to the boat. He was shook up like he has just been scared out of his wits. This guy was attacked by a Jew fish, The fish ripped his stringer off and ate the whole thing. The fish had so much force that it broke the connector that held the stringer on. Bye bye stringer and fish, There are lots of Jew fish, rare not to see four or five. He recovered and went diving again with a borrowed stringer.

I feel privileged to be the first one to look at your profile!
That has Never been the case in the past.
But your profile is sorely vague...
I opened it to see where you are located...But not a clue...
Please fill it out,,, helps everyone!
As for the Jew fish...Yup!! PITA they are!
All of us probably have stories about them.

    BTW..
    Welcome to the "Planet"!

starting to hear more and more of these stories. Good idea to start using a break away system with stringers.
All good things in life smell like fish

    BTW
Thanks for talking, I have no idea how to run, use or operate spear fishing planet. I would fill out my profile if I knew how. But what does it matter, My experience as a diver would put me some where in the middle of it all . I am 80 years old , been diving55 years. did a lot of cave diving, been a recovery diver for Pan AM, on three ships, General Arnold, Twin Falls , and Vandenberg. Mentioned in skin diver magazine for diving in Hornsbe up in north Florida. Treasure hunted with Rich McAlister. Being a recovery diver was sad when it came to recovering a diver. But best of all I am Just called Jim Bo, The guy that likes to dive. None of this stuff matters to me, it was all fun or I would not have done it. I am 80 but still do at least 3 drops and bring in the fish. I have many dive buddies and they all think like I do.

That is pretty damn cool that you can still do 3drops a day at 80yrs old! Not sure what the vis was but you have to be aware if there are GG's around.

    That's all great info...
But one of the most important things you can list is where your home port is.
