Bahamas Big Fish Video

Been a good Winter when we can actually get in the water in the Bahamas. We have had some great trips with good friends and healthy fish. Lots of pelagics and big bottom fish. This is this past Monday morning on a sweet little spot near Cat Key. The Amberjacks got to be our friends and wouldn't leave our sides all day. We had three King Mackerel over 40 lbs that were always just out of pole spear range unless I had the camera and then they would come right up to us. When I exchanged the Camera for the Riffe pole spear prototype of course a 30+lb African Pompano comes in to play. At 60 ft I took the shot praying for a stone shot and proceeded to get my butt handed to me all the way to the surface where Kelly White (Spearchuckerz) dove down and saved me from losing my pole spear or drowning. Good to have your buddies watching you for more reasons then one!!! Tiger Grouper was one of half a dozen we have gotten in the last few trips in the 13 lb range.  Maybe I will post a video on another thread with me getting a face job from an angry fat woman whos tire went flat three days after she bought a new car and thinks the warranty should cover it.
