Well if this years season turns out the same as these last two dives, I'm in for a heck of a season. Went to a new pit early this morning and found longnose and shortnose gar all over the place, along with some nice carp and carpsuckers. This is the biggest of the two longnose I was able to shoot. Its the new Nebraska State Record, wieghting in right at 7 pounds. I missed several others as they are very hard to hit and even harder to get close too.

I looked at your WORLD RECORD data base and compared it to our State Record Data Base. I think we have had several WR that would of qualified on your Data base. Had we known about this before. For example, I know there are some LARGE GAR in a local lake by me- but the State Record is 21lbs. Which if I shot one half that size, would land a new WR.
