Using those metrics (and living out of state), I don't see an issue with the rankings?

I love visiting the area, but being an outsider, I definitely see a lot of these. Commutes are terrible, I've known a lot of guys who have had stuff stolen, the housing market hit leads to more crime, unemployment, etc.

Personally, I'd rather live in St. Pete than the other 4 in the top-5.

Doesn't really surprise me. Pinellas County is the most densely populated county is Florida, 3,339 people per square mile in Pinellas County. That's a LOT of people. On deck (for density) is Broward County (number 3 on the article's list).

Most densely packed county, high unemployment = high crime = stress.

To drive anywhere across the county or leaving the county it'll take you 30 minutes on a GOOD morning or afternoon commute. Factor in one F up and you've just landed in a 45 to 60 min commute.

But man o man is the spearfishing good. Haters!!! Gotta love em'

WTF does THAT mean....one cloud sited all day = cloudy day?

I make it, consistently, from the far SW corner of Pinellas County (Tierra Verde) to Tampa International airport (Westhore area), a distance of 28 miles, in 30 minutes....been doing it for 14 years now.....doesn't seem like a bad commute time to me?
I'd bet you that, if you did a study of the crime levels in St. Pete/Pinellas County, that a HUGE proportion of the violent/property crimes commited would be in a very condensed area.......if you read the papers every morning, and see the faces shown on the crime reports/stories, you can figure out whom/where I'm talking about.........not rocket science.

I am good with article more fishing for us Just don't ask people today about here. its snowing and rainy in Maryland, and in Alanta I heard its not very sunny there also rainy. Today was AWESOME to live in sw fla 70's blue skys great day !!!
