I shot one here in south carolina that was 27 last year. He was a big one but they get in the thirtys around here. Congrats on your fish thats a nice one.

Nice fish, Mine was in 90 out of Ponce. Hit the scale at 26 even. Seastalker put me on that hog!

Personal best hog 22# gutted shot in the MG onboard the Jolly Rogers 2 in 2004. I've shot two other hogfish right at 22# and can't seem to break that barrier. No pushing here!!
It used to be back when I started doing MG charters with the JR2 back in the late 90's early 2000's that it was a foregone conclusion one or more 17#-20# fish would go into the box on each trip.
