Default Big tuna caught with cane pole....no really!

Check this out.......

Big Yellowfin Tuna on bamboo - Ascension Island 2010 on Vimeo

I guess there's no need for expensive rods and reels when a simple cane pole can boat a fish like that!

Amazing!!

But WTF, that fish didn't fight. Did they somehow stone it with the gaff? Seriously, I would expect a big, green fish like that to beat the shit out of everybody in the boat, but all it does is just lay there.

Amazing video though.

And what the hell is that on the floor of the boat behind the fisherman?
It looks like a bed of nails.

It sorta reminded me of videos of the old school tuna boats. They'd just throw lines out into a school and yank the tunas right into the boats.
