Default Spearfishing Barracuda

Hey guys, i have seen several pictures of people holding up these big barracudas, but at the same time alot of my friends tell me that when you shoot one its gunna come right after you, so whats the deal? do they really come after you? do you have to stone it? im just trying to get some truth on the matter, i keep seeing these monster barracudas and im itching to shoot one!

Thanks!

I have only had one instance where a barracuda tried to bite me and that was after the fight and i had him in my hands. I like to stone them with a quarter shot from behind right behind the gill plate and out the other side through the gill plate.

The only reason I shoot them is because we sell them. When I shoot them I always make sure I have a second shaft, or I'm power heading. However they do not try to eat you if you don't stone them. Unlike a triggerfish it seams a cuda is unaware of it's teeth. Also they are a very weak fish and die easily. Good luck buddy.
