I just moved to Valdosta, so I'll be keeping an eye on things here. I've never dove in Georgia and haven't done any scuba spearfishing before, mainly freedive in South Florida where I'm from. However, I'm open to diving new spots and learning new techniques, I'll stay tuned for your website to start up!

Natural bottom... there are some wrecks, but not a ton that I know of. People aren't going to just give away their GPS coordinates bro. Simply put, you dive it before them, then it sucks when they go there. Find someone who owns a boat and go with them, or find a fisherman and BEG him to let you bring a tank or two. Promise him you won't put knicks in his gellcoat.

Grouper, several different Snappers, Flounder, Hogfish (to the north), lobster, black sea bass, jacks, lots of stuff. Anywhere you would think to go hook and line fishing, go there and dive it. The Georgia sites get less pressure so they should produce more. Do some google searches for "Georgia fishing and diving sites" or something like that... you'll be surprised what you can find. Hopefully you can get a picture on your bottom machine when you're under way, when you run over something that looks good (fish/structure) go dive it and check it out. You can start with the navy towers, some are a little deep but they always have something worth shooting on them.

There is no diving off of GA! Vis is crap all the way to the Gulf stream. Sharks are there by the thousands! There is a total lack of fish from the FLA line to Chas South Carolina. Especially out of Savannah. Fla has the BEST diving as well as the Murrells Inlet area up north.

I am about to move up there from FL, so I might have to look into it more. I am going to be located somewhere in the Albany-Tifton range.
