We took advantage of a lull in the seas to get offshore on NYE. NOAA missed the forecast a little (big surprise!) so we ended up staying at the nearshore artificial reefs, just a mere 10 miles offshore. We were greeted by amazing viz for being that close in. My wife bought me a Contour ROAM HD camera for Christmas, so I decided to give it a try. Water temp was 59*. First dive was on a barge, loaded with Sheepshead. I bagged six, but could have had my limit on that dive, but I'm a little rusty from a slow summer dive season. Second dive was on an M60 tank, I was hoping for a Grouper to be on it, that's why I didn't start shooting right away. There was only one deep inside holed up, and he wasn't very big anyways, so I snagged 2 sheeps and split.
