Hi All,
I'm coming to Hawaii in June to get married. Also planning on bringing the dive gear and 2-3 guns. My wife to be also freedives and spearfishes, hence why we are getting married. Well not the only reason. I am planning on talking with Daryl Wong at the Blue Wild this weekend to see if we can do a boat dive day with him, but I'm also interested in doing some beach/shore dives. So far we only have the first week of our trip planned. We are flying into Honolulu on June 8th and staying there for a day to see Pearl harbor with family. Then we going over to Maui on the 10th and staying there until June 15th. Wedding is on June 13th. So first off would love to know if there are some good shore dive opportunities near the Westin Maui or pretty much anywhere on the island that we should check out. Also which areas allowing spearing and which do not would be helpful as well. We do plan on exploring the Hana Hwy so if there are sports along it that we should stop in and see I would love to know. Thoughts on if we should we book a trip over to Molokini? On June 15th we are heading back to Honolulu. We have not decided how many days to stay on Honolulu this second time. I'm still trying to figure out what we should see on Oahu, craters, etc. We are planning to go over to the big island for a day or two to check out the Volcanoes at some point. The only definite thing on week two is that fly out of Honolulu on Sunday June 23rd at 1pm. So we have a good amount of time to explore 3 islands. Any info you can provide would be awesome. Thanks in advance, Will

I'll be there from this Sunday to the end of June for work. I'll be taking all of my gear as well, so if I figure anything out I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks guys.
I have talked to Daryl Wong a couple now and we finalized some plans at the Blue Wild. So I will be diving Oahu with Daryl at some point and I may dive with a friend of his while on Maui. I will keep you guys in the loop. Will

Go to the big island and do a shore dive at South Point if conditions allow for it. One of the best shore dives in the world weather permitting......

No offense but as much as I liked South Point I don't think I would attempt a shore dive there. Entry looked very rough. Bitchen place to visit though.
I suggest you try shore diving the upper left coast. About 40 miles north of Kona the beach entries are very easy and I found lots of awesome shells. The area I'm talking about is seen below

Thanks for the input.
I will be on the big island later in the trip an do I plan to dive there as well. Bluewater hunting on a shore dive sounds insanely cool.
