I just thaught these epic pics of Shins gun was crazy. All made by hand with the use of hand tools only, no machines mind you. The wood used is pallet wood from the port. With eight 5/8 bands it holds up well. With almost 2kg of wieght in the gun, its still bouyant. I have shot this beast once and there is hardly any recoil. Not an ideal gun to use since its so long but testing limits is what Shin is about, not about what or how big a fish he gets.

Holy crap. Thats thing is insane, how does he reach the bands, even I with monkey arms couldnt reach those. I like the Penn reel though, that'll slow down any fish. I think I'll get in to that gun making when I get out of these damn barracks next year.

To tell you the truth he uses his feet on some of his guns. But on this paticular gun, pics 2-4, he just hip loads em to a rest tab on the shaft. Its a beast and shoots like 30+ft no joke.

I'm having the same problem. I'll bet if we put in a trouble ticket that we can't see pictures on the spearfishing forums, that they will run right out and correct it
![]() Seriously. I wonder why it only happens with some pictures and not others. It is usually pics from Kev, but others sometimes also. What format are you using, Kev?

Damn, now that I'm home, and remembered to look at this thread... That gun is a cannon!! haha. I couldn't imagine trying to load that thing. Looks like good craftsmanship though.

That was a great article in the last IFSN magazine. True motivation.
