Got this one recently at Wildlife Management Area. I think hunting pig on public land is much harder than landing any fish I've ever pursued. I put my time in it scouting quite a bit and had my chances, but scored on this one. Sow went about 100 pounds shot with a shotgun. One of the pellets collapsed its lung and other hit her liver. Very little damage to meat.
Had to drag her ass over a mile back to the truck before heading over to Emil's house for processing. Here's a few of the pictures. I picked up this hunting thing this past year and am really hooked. Can't say I look forward to diving as much anymore. Freezer is generally full now with fresh meat. I've been able to cheat the learning curve thanks to Emil as he is not only an ecyclopedia of information, but a friend who is always there to lend a hand. This harvest is more of a testament to his advice and encouragement than anything else.
